A simple, yet beautiful sapphire set in a yellow gold wavy ring, was transformed into a climber earring.

Hammered finish from the gemstone fading to its original mirror polish.

This ring was to be resized from a medium to a very large size. The process meant to cut deliberately the ring and open the shank to the desired size; thus creating a void to be filled with the same metal.

The picture above shows the gold nugget made from other pieces of jewellery brought by the costumer to be used.

The nugget was profiled to fill the gap and soldered to the shank.
Finally the additional piece of gold was filled and polished to blend with the ring.
