Recreating a pair of silver earrings from a missing earring, of Art Nouveau period, originally made in bronze.

In my cosy studio, the first stage was to cast a couple of copies of the client's original and remaining earring.
This casting technique uses a material called Delft Clay; a compound made of fine sticky sand that is compacted around the item to mould within two frames.
The original is then removed, channels are created to allow the molten metal to enter and the air to escape

Follows a tedious and precise work of finition. The hedges are cleaned, the design is smoothed and polished, faithfully to how the original used to shine.

Replica of vials into 9ct gold
for wedding pendants

Young couple getting married, had previously made their vows of engagement by exchanging vial pendants containing a grain of rice onto which their surname was written

For their marriage, they commissioned me to replicate the metal part in 9 carats yellow gold and transfer the vial.

Those became their wedding pendants instead of rings.
